The who, what, and why of the challenge

Bio

Hi, I'm Meg, a Canberra native, hiker, rock climber, and general outdoor enthusiast. After experiencing domestic violence in January this year, I needed to find a way to reclaim the outdoors and give myself a goal to work towards as part of my physical and mental health recovery. I landed on setting the challenge of hiking all 66 of the Australian Capital Territory's publicly accessible trigonometric stations in one year.

Hiking Philosophy

I choose to hike because the outdoors reminds me that healing is not linear. It is slow, uneven, and worth continuing anyway.

Fun Facts & Injuries

In the past 2 years, I have broken my ankle and my kneecap on separate rockclimbing trips, and both were on the approach/return from the crag, not on the wall itself.
